There have been few efforts to translate the vast body of Pushtimarg literature from Hindi and Sanskrit into Braj Bhasha in a systematic and accessible fashion. The efforts of the Vraja Kishori Seva Trust to translate such important works such as Shodashagranthah, Varta Sahitya, and the works of the Asthchhap such as Kumbhandasji and Surdasji represent a truly major step forward in making Pushtimarg accessible to both the devotees and non-devotees alike. The work the Trust has done is truly important and it is hoped that it will continue to make great strides in their publications and in their efforts to preserve the kirtan and Rasalila traditions of Pushtimarg.

**SEVA**

Vraja Kishori Seva Trust is all about Seva!

If someone comes up with a plan, a "Manoratha" of how they would like to donate, VKST leaves no stone unturned in carrying out the donors plan to the last penny and to the nth degree of detail, whilst trying to bring as much solace, in as many ways possible, to as many as possible. This is to put into practical form the true Bhava (Spirit) of Seva (Service) which, according to Sri Vallabhacharyaji, is the first and foremost duty of a human being.

Seva to the Supreme Lord and selfless giving are the foundations of this Path of Grace, the Pushtimarga. For example, this could start off with an offering of ethically earned funds -> foodstuffs -> food preparations -> appropriately timed offerings -> sharing of and distribution of Prasad (Blessed food); a process by which everyone involved receives the Grace of the Guru and the Lord. Even just the gift of a blanket on that cold windy night when the toes are freezing out there on the street; nicely topped off with a serving of hot breads and vegetables!

Seva is a "Saver". It saves all participants from selfishness and greed. Automatically, onwards there is a reduction in anger, lust, laziness, cruelty, greed, pride, delusion: non-recognition of the true humans Righteous Path [Dharma]. Thus Seva also becomes that which prevents people from wasting their human intelligence on trivial pursuits; so it is fitting to say that Seva is also a Saviour!

Seva done with true, constant, focused Love and unerring Faith means that the Server can then truly 'savour' every moment of human life! The necessary discretion and patience used in the act of Seva purifies the heart and mind and renders the Sevak [one who makes the Seva] full of dispassion and compassion and stripped of the need for recognition; a lovely standpoint for living life at the Grace-Giving Lotus Feet of the Divine Beloveds. The reward IS that humble, transformational Seva! Grace allows any effort or sacrifice to become pleasurable!

The Vraja Kishori Seva Trust family and members, participants and helpers of each and every sort, help us remember that Seva, done without pride, is joyful and most essential for spiritual life.
